School Partnership Programs
The LVAM Education Department encourages School Partnerships which involve tailored curriculum planning with teachers, a combination of class presentations and museum visits, and follow-up lessons. One of LVAM’s most successful School Partnership Programs is the Adopt-a-School Program. This year-long program services low income and high-risk elementary schools in Clark County. 4th grade students from five elementary schools currently participate in LVAM’s Adopt-a-School program in which Docent Educators and Education Assistants give class presentations. These classroom presentations prepare students for visits to the Museum where they are led through guided tours of exhibitions and hands-on projects. The program includes several visits over the course of the academic year. Program materials follow CCSD Curriculum Essential Framework guidelines.
